Xin Zhang

Dr. Xin Zhang graduated from Peking University Health Science Center, China, with a Bachelor of Medicine degree in 2001. She obtained her PhD degree in 2007 studying mitosis and its regulation at Indiana University, Bloomington, USA. In 2008, she started postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the area of chemical biology and cancer cell biology. In 2012, she moved back to China as a principal investigator at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Hefei. She is currently the vice chair of the CAS High Magnetic Field Laboratory. She has published over 100 papers in Journals including Nature Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, The Innovation, Advanced Science, Research, PNAS, eLife, Redox Biology and PLoS Biology.

Dr Lin Chen received her bachelor’s degree from Xiamen University in 2014 and earned her PhD degree in 2021 through a joint training program between Xiamen University and Johns Hopkins University. In 2021, she started her postdoctoral research at Johns Hopkins University in the area of quantitative magnetic resonance imaging, and was promoted to Research Associate in 2022. She returned to China in 2024 to join Anhui Fuqing Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., and subsequently joined the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science at the end of 2025. In 2025, she was selected for the National Overseas Young Talent Program as well as the Anhui Provincial Overseas High-Level Young Talent Program. Her work has consistently focused on the technical development and clinical application of quantitative magnetic resonance imaging, leading to a range of innovative achievements in susceptibility imaging, quantitative tissue microstructure assessment, and multiparametric imaging methodology.
